With Gratitude

Camp Collage was founded by the Willoughby family with deep gratitude for the memories and friendships that summer camp brings. Though Michael and Darla Willoughby never attended overnight camps themselves, they cherished the joy their three children found at Camp Longhorn in the Hill Country outside Austin, Texas. From the very start, Darla poured her heart into creating collages for each trunk—thoughtful keepsakes that brought comfort, connection, and conversation to her kids and their cabin friends. What began as a mother’s loving gesture grew into something truly special, as other campers asked for their own collages too. With heartfelt appreciation for the support and enthusiasm from families and camps across the country, the Willoughbys launched the Camp Collage mobile app in 2021. By the summer of 2022, Camp Collage had reached campers in over 20 camps across 9 states—each collage a reflection of gratitude, love, and shared memories.

Michael is a firm supporter of Summer Camps. Having raised three kids who all attended Camp Longhorn, and witnessing the positive impact camps have had on each child, he desires every child to experience summer camp. Leah Kwapis - Marketing & Partnerships

Leah is a wife and mom of three with nearly two decades of experience in social media marketing and digital strategy. She currently works in account management, a role that aligns perfectly with her strengths because she loves building relationships, connecting with people, and helping brands grow in meaningful and strategic ways.

In 2023, when her oldest daughter headed off to sleepaway camp for the first time, Leah first learned about Camp Collage through a camp newsletter. She immediately recognized the brilliance of the concept and the emotional impact it could have for families.

As she connected with Michael and learned more about the heart behind the brand, her initial curiosity turned into a deeper commitment. She is now excited to serve as Marketing Lead for Camp Collage, bringing her experience, strategic mindset, and passion for community to help more families send personalized photo collages to camp so kids can have meaningful reminders of home, friends, pets, and the people who matter most while they are away.
